The main purpose of CBIRDS is to provide Collective Management Organizations with an independent middle-ware solution to exchange data efficiently between databases to reduce costs and increase quality. CBIRDS targets on collaboration and supports industry standards and identifiers coming from ISAN, IDA, EIDR, legacy databases and even future standards.
CMO’s primary objective is to conduct distributions which depend on data delivered by various organizations in a wide variety of formats resulting in painstaking and costly data processing. Traditionally for each new data source’ a set of procedures and practices is introduced, including the costly development of software for interfaces and conversion programs.
Using CBIRDS will eliminate this cumbersome approach and reduces the number of interfaces to a single two-way connection with CBIRDS. In other words, your organizations databases solely exchange data with CBIRDS, and so will other organizations. It not only simplifies the application architecture, but it also significantly reduces costs, increases the quality of data and shorten the time to the next distribution.
